Steven
F. Mazer, M.D., F.A.A.O.S.
|
Dr. Mazer is a graduate of Boston University. Dr. Mazer obtained his
M.D. degree from Georgetown University. He then received his training
in General Surgery and also completed his Orthopaedic training at George
Washington University. Additionally Dr. Mazer trained at Children's
Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., The Veterans Administration
Hospital in Washington, D.C., and the Hadassah Hebrew University Medical
Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Doctor Mazer has an interest in the problems
of performing artists for which he has undergone additional training,
and experience.

Frank
Seinsheimer III, M.D., F.A.A.O.S.
|
Dr. Seinsheimer is a graduate of Yale University and obtained his M.D.
degree from Harvard Medical School. He underwent his General Surgical
training at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, and Orthopaedic
training at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He served in the Army
for two years and then took a one year fellowship in Hand and Microvascular
Surgery with Jim Hunter, M.D. at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
in Philadelphia. In 1989, Dr. Seinsheimer received the Certificate of
Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery as a result of passing the first
certification exam ever given in Hand Surgery. He has published articles
in orthopaedic basic science, and clinical issues. A classification
of subtrochateric fractures of the femur that he published, is currently
used in most orthopaedic text books. Dr. Seinsheimer has a special interest
in carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's contracture and arthritis surgery.

Irvin A. Guterman, MD, F.A.A.O.S.
|
Dr. Guterman graduated from the George Washington University and obtained
his M.D. degree from the George Washington School of Medicine. He obtained
his General Surgery training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey-Rutgers Medical School. He then completed an Orthopaedic
Surgery Research fellowship studying bone and joint abnormalities. This
research resulted in several presentations and publications. He received
his Orthopaedic Surgery training at the University of Virginia Medical
Center in Charlottesville, VA., where he concentrated on total joint
replacement, trauma, back and sports injuries. He completed his Orthopaedic
Surgery training as Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery. As an avid
athlete, Dr. Guterman is particularly interested in the prevention and
treatment of sports related injuries.

David
M. Perim, MD, F.A.A.O.S.
|
Dr. Perim received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Georgetown
University. He completed a medical internship at California Pacific
Hospital in San Francisco, a surgical internship at St. Mary's Medical
Center in San Francisco and his Orthopaedic residency at the San Francisco
Orthopaedic training program. He obtained fellowship training in Spine
Surgery at the Texas Back Institute. Dr. Perim enjoys general Orthopaedic
practice and treating sports injuries. His additional training in Spine
Surgery included arthroscopic lumbar disc removal and techniques for
the treatment of chronic back pain including epidural steroid injections,
lumbar facet blocks and spinal cord stimulator implantation.

Derek
A. Kram, MD, F.A.A.O.S.
|
Dr. Kram graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University. He attended
medical school at Columbia University in New York and completed his
General Surgery internship and Orthopaedic residency at Montefiore Medical
Center - Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Following
his residency, he completed a fellowship in Reconstructive Surgery of
the knee and Sports Medicine at the Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic in Winter
Park, Florida where he acted as assistant team doctor for the Orlando
Magic professional basketball team. Dr. Kram has published articles
and presented numerous scientific exhibits in general orthopaedics and
the surgical treatment of arthritis, and has co-authored a textbook
on the rehabilitation and treatment of fractures. In addition to general
orthopaedics, Dr. Kram has a special interest in knee reconstruction.

David M. Smink, M.D.
|
Dr. David M. Smink joined the practice in 2005. He graduated with Honors
from Amherst College where he was captain and MVP of the varsity ice
hockey team. He attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
in Cleveland and served as Vice President of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors
medical society local chapter. He trained in orthopaedic surgery at
Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago and then completed
a Sports Medicine fellowship at Harvard University-Massachusetts General
Hospital which afforded him the opportunity to be a team physician for
the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and the Harvard University
Department of Athletics. He enjoys general orthopaedics with a special
interest in shoulder and knee problems, athletic injuries, and arthroscopic
surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic
Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
